Our client is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their busy team! The successful candidate will provide confidential and administrative support to an assigned department, and also be able to assist in labour relations matters. 

Responsbilities and Duties Include:

  • Provide support to a department by performing duties such as; typing correspondence, reports, presentations.
  • Reception; filing, answering phones, photocopying, mail. 
  • Under direction, perform a variety of routine and nonroutine duties related to the functioning of the department such as ordering supplies, making travel arrangements, scheduling appointments, gathering information, processing staff reports, reviewing material for completeness.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software applications such as word processing, basic spreadsheets, presentation/graphics.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to internal and external enquiries.
  • Communication skills sufficient to perform reception duties
Typical Experience; Training; Education (or Equivalents):
  • Basic courses in office practices and computer software applications.
  • May have previous office experience, but would be able to perform the job independently with up to 6 months on the job experience.
