Administrative Assistant

Adecco is currently hiring for temporary, full-time Administrative Assistant to work at our client, an established company majoring in the plastic supply industry located in Vaughan, ON.   • Pay rate: $19-23/hour depending on experience

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and assist individuals coming in through at the main entrance
  • Process courier & shipments and process purchase orders
  • Purchase office supplies and process Accounts Payable Plant contact for Scheduler/Inventory Planner
  • Document training and assist with safety and regulatory training sessions
  • Document company SOS program and follow company safety rules to ensure that all procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are being followed
  • Ensure all workplace hazards and unsafe work behavior are taken care of as soon as possible
  • Complete monthly safety inspections and participate in monthly related meetings
  • Assist in Health & Safety meetings and coordinate all filing for operations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience in Logistics and Customer Service as asset
  • Must be flexible and self-motivated with strong organizational, multitasking, and administrative skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent working knowledge and ability to navigate a PC windows and Microsoft Office environment, including shared drives
  • Ability to learn new software quickly and willingness to continuously develop technology skills
