Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Administrative Assistant for our client, a governmental natural resources agency located in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out administrative tasks as well as performing other finance, procurement and human resources related duties. If you have at least 1 year of experience working in a related business environment, this job is for you!

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 7.5 hours | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Creating, updating, tracking, and closing commitments in the company’s financial system
  • Processing and tracking invoices as well as following up with Finance
  • Completing contract approval forms for renewals and new items
  • Checking coding, costs, and getting appropriate approvals in a timely manner
  • Creating travel requests in the designated system as well as preparing travel expense reports once travel is completed
  • Onboarding new employees and offboarding departing employees as well as other HR tasks
  • Providing back up for the business unit administrator (BUA) and other administrative assistants, as needed
  • Organizing, coordinating, and supporting events (internal and external), such as: meetings, special events and training events
  • Inventory, monitoring and ordering office supplies, books, and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • To qualify, you should:

  • Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant work experience
  • Twelve (12) months relevant experience in a business environment
  • Must have strong communication skills – verbal, reading & written
  • Must possess exceptional computer skills and knowledge of software
  • Ability to multi-task and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be familiar with general office procedures, equipment, and software
  • Must have a strong commitment to people, processes, policies, and confidentiality
  • Security Clearance Certificate
