Adecco is currently recruiting for an Administrator in Toronto for our client a Stock Transfer Company located in Downtown Toronto.  The Administrator must have 2 – 3 years industry related experience in a brokerage, financial services or banking. The Administrator MUST have Business knowledge as they relate to the administration of Registered plans such as RRSP, LIRA, RRIF, TSFA etc. This is a 6-month contract and has a pay rate of $20.00 - $22.00/hour.

Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for accurately reviewing and inputting/updating data into the system in a timely manner in accordance to specified requests/instructions and within expected turn-around standards.
  • Screens, validates, processes and audits time-sensitive submissions such as Investment applications, transfers, purchase contributions, redemptions, withdrawals, dividend payments, dividend reinvestment, revenue collection, re-registrations, account updates etc.
  • Identifies and/or researches issues/discrepancies and ensures prompt resolution; escalates as appropriate.
  • Prepares written communications such as letter of instruction or return letters, customized as required, to accompany forms, schedules, payments and/or securities to external parties such as clients, Issuers, Transfer Agents and/or dealers.
  • Finance related activities such as deposits, wires, electronic fund transfers; timely balancing, reconciliation, posting journal entries and/or producing reports accurately.
  • Creating and/or mailing correspondence, statement of accounts, forms.
  • Research and promptly respond to internal and external enquiries.
  • Use of a variety of systems such as Workflow, Cosmos Assets, DSS Viewer, SCRIP, Univeris, Access databases or other as required.
  • Assist with Quality Control audit activities (monthly, quarterly or annual).
  • Overtime, as required.

Administrator Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read material requiring understanding of content such as instructions, procedure manuals, documents and/or correspondence.
  • Must have excellent keyboard skills (ideally 50 – 60 wpm), which includes the need for a high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, identify problems and find solutions;
  • 2 – 3 years industry related experience required (broker, financial, banking)
  • Working knowledge of Self-Directed Registered Plans.
  • Working knowledge of Private Capital Exempt Market space an asset.
  • Business knowledge as they relate to the administration of Registered plans such as RRSP, LIRA, RRIF, TSFA etc.
