The Global Treasury Department is a dynamic, team-oriented group with primary responsibilities for cash management, corporate finance, and pension.  With our client's diverse operations on a domestic and international basis, we are responsible for a wide range of activities including cash flow and liquidity management, investments, corporate financing and funding, foreign currency and interest rate management, pension, as well as maintaining treasury policy, organization, and controls.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Cash forecasting and cash management for the Global Treasury operations
  • Reconciling prior day transaction variances and investigating issues
  • Managing intercompany funding throughout the organization
  • Planning and executing short term external borrowing, foreign exchange, and short-term investment transactions
  • Initiating treasury payments in SAP and various banking applications
  • Creating daily and monthly cash reports for Treasury, Accounting,
  • Gaining an understanding of the corporate structure and banking relationships
  • Development and maintain relationships with our banking partners
  • Banking Resolutions and Governance Concepts
  • Exploring practical cash management solutions that create process efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Communicate with internal and external auditor as required
  • Assist ad-hoc Treasury projects as applicable
  • SKILLS

  • University degree and working towards or have achieved a professional designation
  • Three to five years of work experience in Finance or Accounting roles (preference for Treasury experience but also could have Accounting, Marketing, Audit, or Planning)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are essential
  • Keen attention to detail is a must
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently and to contribute in a group structure
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge or experience with SAP would be an asset
  • Interest in financial and currency markets an asset
