Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time APM Training Specialist in Calgary, AB, to work at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands. In this diverse role, you will support the Enterprise Reliability Asset Management (ERAM) team by helping to develop a comprehensive instructional learning curriculum to teach reliability engineering methodologies and tools.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive training delivery documentation that meets organizational standards
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of using GE APM software, processes, and integrated tools in day-to-day job tasks. Communicate and deliver complex software and work process information in a way that is simple, polished, and engaging for the end-user
  • Advise the company on best practices for delivering user-engaging content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with the operation leads, Engineers, Subject Mater Experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and other planners to develop deliverables
  • Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content while working closely with program leads and SMEs to understand project requirements
  • Uphold organizational standards, formats, and naming conventions
  • Develop content in electronic media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • 5-7 years of industry-relevant experience in hands-on training delivery for engineers and technicians for Oil, petroleum processing, chemical processing, and/or mining industries
    is needed
  • Experience working with software engineers and designers to develop training for technical software applications is preferred
  • Ability to participate in software engineering tasks including design, content development, and visual content capture for technical document content build is appreciated
  • Applied knowledge of equipment reliability methodologies, calculations, analysis, and industry-standard practices is a plus
  • Experience in GE APM and/or Meridium asset performance management software with an emphasis on Essentials, Strategy, Health, and Reliability Analytics modules is appreciated
  • Must have proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex work processes, engineering standards, and software
  • Should be detail focused and a self-starter
  • Superior presentation and delivery skills are crucial for success
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
