Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Apprentice Mechanic in Middle Sackville, NS to work at a well-known and well-established company majoring in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role and is proficient in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.

  • Pay rate: $45,000/year
  • Location: Middle Sackville, NS
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday; 7h30 - 17h00 
  • Job type: Full-time; Permanent

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Road test vehicles and test automotive systems and components
  • Perform preventative & predictive maintenance & repairs
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction & perform repairs to manufacture's specifications
  • Perform maintenance tasks & maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Work in accordance with all safety procedures, regulations and standards

    • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a related role
  • Proficient in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair
  • Knowledge of fuel, ignition, cooling, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, air brake systems
  • Skilled in operating tools, equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of vehicles and equipment
  • Skilled in the repair of special-purpose equipment
  • Able to diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles
  • Must have a deep knowledge of hydraulic systems and the ability to read hydraulic schematics
  • Able to read and comprehend service and technical information
  • Capable of utilizing fleet maintenance software programs
  • Knowledge of Total Tire Maintenance program is required
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Should have a high degree of professionalism, exceptional organizational skills and a great commitment to a safe workplace
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, independently as well as part of a team
  • Possess a strong awareness of quality control
  • Able to be cross-trained in different areas
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
