About the role

Adecco is hiring an Area Director to plan and direct all phases of a successful operation in our Saskatchewan and Manitoba branches. The successful candidate will build strategic market development plans, control expenses and maintain efficient daily operations in order to increase profits and encourage growth. In this role, you will also source, develop and secure profitable new business within your geographic area to maximize Adecco’s sales and growth potential. This is a hybrid role with a mix of work-from-home and in-office. Candidates must reside within either Saskatchewan or Manitoba and may be required to travel within this assigned area. What you’ll be doing

  • Increasing area profitability by leading and supervising the overall sales effort - developing and maintaining a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy and identifying growth opportunities for existing accounts, while ensuring an exceptional customer experience
  • Creating and maintaining current contacts in the local professional and business community, increasing name awareness and promoting Adecco’s services
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of economic trends and changes affecting local businesses
  • Maintaining records of competitors in the area regarding their respective shares of the market, locations, services and benefits offered
  • Proposing and executing sales strategies for individual target accounts that capture new staffing and other related business opportunities, resulting in sales growth in the area
  • Managing team recruitment plans to ensure that client orders are filled
  • Developing and implementing area revenue & expense forecasts, annual business plans, establishing budgets and overseeing area expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints while maximizing profitability
  • Reviewing organizational processes and procedures to ensure economies of scale and reduce expenditures
  • Effectively leading, training and mobilizing colleagues ensuring positive KPI performance and career investment in Adecco
  • Performing all duties inherent to a managerial role, including the effective selection, training, development and performance management when required, of the direct reports within the assigned area 
  • About you

    We want to set you up for success! To help us do that, here is what we are looking for from you:

  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years in a sales role preferably in the service industry
  • One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory/management experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Completion of post-secondary education in related field or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with an ability to influence and motivate others
  • Skilled in the art of networking, lead generation and prospect development, as evidenced by current contacts in the local professional and business community
  • Superior planning, organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently, as well as disciplined in timely follow-up with prospects, clients, and colleagues
  • Proactive and able to solve problems effectively and rapidly using excellent analytical skills
  • Resourceful and self-motivated, utilizing available information to help further marketplace knowledge and drive business success
  • Proven consistently high levels of customer service performance, with an ability to build strong client relationships, identify and close new business and expand the marketplace
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven success in managing and driving productivity through others
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs 
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
