Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Assembly Component Operator for our client located in Ottawa, ON.

The Assembly Component Operator ensures quality and efficiency, inspects rejects, and addresses machine issues swiftly. Preferred qualifications include mechanical aptitude and assembly experience. The role involves multitasking, adhering to regulations, and regular interaction with peers.

The ideal candidate should possess a Canadian high school diploma or degree, or a WES-certified postsecondary qualification. Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required, and the candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Assembly teams to maximize quality, efficiency and throughput.

  • Inspect and monitor quality and line performance in accordance with documented procedures

  • Manually inspect and process rejects from the automated vision system determining pass/fail per process procedures

  • Good mechanical aptitude and good organizational skills

  • Some electronic or mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred

  • Must be able to work at a very fast pace, lots of running around the Assembly lines addressing machine faults and jams

  • Quick learner/self-starter

  • Technical aptitude

  • Organized with good multi-tasking skills

  • Regular interaction with other peers, supervisors, manufacturing engineers and technicians

  • Ability to work in a high pressure, target oriented environment

  • Ability to work accurately and precisely, Ability to maintain good quality while working with urgency

  • Ability to effectively adapt to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective in a repetitive position

  • Punctual and dependable

  • Able to follow all process – FDA regulated

  • Be comfortable with full gowning/clean room

  • Other miscellaneous duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Canadian High School Diploma / Degree or WES certified postsecondary is required

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Ability to pass a dexterity test and a vision test

  • Previous experience with automated equipment would be an asset

  • General labour experience is considered an asset

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Available to work a 12-hour 4x4 shift rotation

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
