Adecco is currently hiring temporary Assembly Line Operators, Days in North York, ON. Our client is a leading North American child car seat manufacturer looking for qualified candidates with previous auto part assembly or similar assembly experience. These positions offer the possibility of permanent employment and growth with our client. The day shift schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:45am-3:45pm with flexibility for occasional overtime when required.  The rate of pay is $16.00/hr + 4% vacation pay.

Assembly Line Operator Responsibilities:

  • Perform light assembly work by manipulating plastic, fabric and small metal (springs, fasteners, rivets) components using standard tools and in station fixtures to complete assembly and sub-assemblies
    • Tools include: assembly screw drivers, locking fixtures, small hand-tools (specific to the product being assembled)
  • Inspect components and incoming material for defects and disposition
  • Label finished consumer goods (warning labels, manuals, hang tags)
  • Inspect finished goods: inspect overall fit and finish, function, and cosmetic appearance of consumer goods before packaging
  • Package and label – able to label and stack finished goods on pallets for shipping; ensure that finished goods match final packaging labels
  • Maintain a clean work station and assembly floor area at all times
  • Follows all safety guidelines laid out by supervisor and management
  • Communicate assembly issues with team lead and project management
  • Other duties as assigned by management: ex. packaging of small accessory items, inspection of parts, recording of daily scrap or defects on standard sheets, etc.

Assembly Line Operator Qualifications:

  • Driven to work as part of an assembly team to meet daily production numbers
  • Able to read and follow work instructions with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Perform repetitive tasks with high degree of accuracy
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods of time – 8 hr shifts
  • Capable of lifting 35lbs & exerting 15lbs of force
  • Communicate well with co-workers and supervisors
  • Some computer literacy – able to interact with a simple scanning and label printing application
