Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Assembly Operator – Medical Manufacturing contract at our Ottawa, ON client’s medical manufacturing facility. The shift is a 12-hour night shift (6:30pm – 6:30am) Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every second Saturday.

Requirements for Assembly Operator – Medical Manufacturing Role:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast paced, repetitive environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • An effective team player
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word
  • Clean criminal record
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities for Assembly Operator – Medical Manufacturing Role:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Assembly teams to maximize quality, efficiency and throughput. Follow engineering instructions as they apply to builds or experiments
  • Staff manual line positions as scheduled
  • Inspect and monitor quality and line performance in accordance with documented procedures
  • Manually inspect and process rejects from the automated vision system determining pass/fail per process procedures
  • Elevate quality and productivity observations to help minimize defects, scraps and maximize throughput
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and legible record keeping in compliance with procedures
  • Demonstrate compliant gowning and clean room techniques and maintain a tidy, organized and clean workspace
  • Communicate ideas and suggestions for improving the Assembly practices to Assembly leadership
  • Understand and comply with applicable EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable manufacturing procedures
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required
