Assembly Supervisor

Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Assembly Supervisor for our client, a leading company in engineering and manufacturing located in Winnipeg, MB. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily assembly job orders and monitoring all daily assembly activities. If you at least 3 years of experience as a supervisor and knowledge of warehouse and its functions, this job is for you!

  • Location: Winnipeg, MB (45 minutes west of) 
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent
  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily meetings
  • Coordinating daily assembly job orders and assigning following production schedules
  • Controlling and monitoring all daily assembly activities and ensuring all departments are working properly and their output is in compliance to company standard quality and quantity
  • Ensuring all the production needs of assemblers are immediately addressed
  • Solving problems and addressing any section of concern to ensure line efficiency
  • Assisting in the investigation and resolution of quality problems incurred in the line
  • Providing updated daily shortage list or/as needed
  • Identifying potential issues and communicate it with Operations Manager proactively
  • Coordinating with day/night shift lead hands regarding the completion of jobs, assembly daily requirements and rework of previous shifts
  • Identifying the consumables supplies in a timely manner and submit it to the purchaser
  • Evaluating assemblers’ performance
  • Participating in continuous improvements, lean initiatives and other related activities
  • Participating in all safety activities and other related program of the company
  • Ensuring adherence of all team members to health and safety regulations
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of previous supervisory experience
  • Standard production/assembly and warehouse knowledge
  • Ability to communicate and solve problems effectively
  • Must be able to work in a highly demanding, deadline-driven work environment
  • Must be comfortable walking and standing for long period of hours
  • Must possess good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to follow and implement company policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform required duties efficiently
