Our growing Oakville client who is a leader in the Financial industry is looking for an Asset Coordinator to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years related experience and will be responsible for the following:
The incumbent will be involved in researching the estimated value of equipment, analyzing and determining if equipment should be resold or discarded, auditing warehouses, researching various methods of advertising the sale of equipment and following up with sales representatives on the status of equipment for sale.
The incumbent will also be required to contact re-marketers for updates, find comparables and collect updated pictures and features of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct research on the internet and other sources for equipment comparables, determine appropriate values, hire inspectors/appraisers, and review previous internal sales history to make a decision on whether equipment should be resold or discarded
Make decisions through analysis of resale value, repair estimates, outstanding liens and estimated expenses in deciding between recovering or reselling an asset Contact warehouses to request confirmation of inventory as per the Equipment Schedule Agreement
Requirements:
The Asset Coordinator must have strong research skills, be organized, accurate and detail oriented. Strong written and oral communication skills are required and proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) is a must. They must be an assertive self starter, who is comfortable making phone calls and following up with re-marketers and sales representatives. They will also have to be able to learn and adapt quickly, find a solution with a can do attitude and think outside of the box on a regular basis.
The Asset Coordinator needs to have a positive attitude, be a team player and be able to follow instructions well.
Qualifications:
A university or college degree with a main subject area in Business or Finance is required (or equivalent relevant experience). 35 years experience in the leasing industry is preferred but not required.
