Adecco is currently recruiting an Assistant Product Manager for a 12-month contract w/ possibility of extension. Our client is a crown corporation, located in Ottawa, ON. The required resource must hold a valid reliability security clearance or be eligible for one. The opportunity will be Hybrid (2 days at home & days in the office) until COVID solutions have been put in place. The ideal candidate can be located in Ottawa. 

The Assistant Product Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Participates in the planning and development of the Corporation's product modification, new product development, pricing strategies to achieve corporate user experience and financial contribution goals for products and services through agile development.
  • Through ongoing liaison with other corporate functions, identifies current and future market and operating opportunities and threats and prepares assessments of potential impacts on the Corporations’ market, products, services and financial goals.
  • Assesses proposed initiatives and determine their acceptability vis-à-vis, and their impact on, our products strategies, plans and objectives.
  • Develops and implements take to company plans for products and services and supports Sales, Customer Service and operations staff in ongoing delivery of desired user experience.
  • The Assistant Product Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Post-secondary, preferably in a related field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Business Analytics.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Mus have product experience, with strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in analyzing data, developing functional requirements or specifications, and writing reports.
  • Strong communication. teamwork, execution, and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of the online space, web tools and APIs.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
  • Appetite for technology and desire to maintain current knowledge of evolving best practices.
  • Understanding of eCommerce, Shipping and Logistics technology and tools is an asset.
