Adecco is currently hiring an Associate Engineer for our Medical Manufacturing client in Ottawa West. This is a 1-year contract opportunity offering full time hours.?Hourly rate of pay will be determined based on level of experience.
An Opportunity to work as part of the Component Engineering team with a focus on NPI tool supplier qualifications, CAD and quality records.
Associate Engineer Responsibilities:
Apply advanced scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity to complete complex assignments with little supervision.
Conceptualize complete solutions, create or coordinate the design solutions for novel or complex problems; explore multiple alternatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) or independent technical expert (ITE) on a project’s technical matters; will interface with external firms and supplier
Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
Participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining effectiveness of Quality System.
Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as may be required.
Create and update drawings using CAD (Solidworks)
Associate Engineer Required Experience:
Experience with GMP and in working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment is an asset. Experience with LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing principles is an asset.
Superior analytical and problem solving skills: experience with statistics.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization.
Associate Engineer Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree (Science, Engineering or equivalent) required.
Experience in one shot and two shot injection molding or polymer science is an asset.
Knowledge and experience in manufacturing process control with two-shot injection molding is an asset
Experience using Solidworks is mandatory
Understanding of technical drawings, interpretation of specification and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Structured Problem solving, Statistical testing, Design of Experiments, fact based problem solving.
Some experience or exposure to a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Ability to work independently and in groups, ability to work cross-functionally.
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills.
Ability or aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability or aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives.
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge, understanding or skills and willingness to learn.
