Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Associate Engineer – Facilities for our Medical Manufacturing client in Ottawa West. This is a 1 year contract opportunity offering Full Time hours. The salary for this position will be determined based on education and experience.
As part of the Facilities Engineering team, the successful candidate will support and own various building infrastructure projects in a medical device manufacturing environment. 
Associate Engineer – Facilities Responsibilities:

  • Apply scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity to complete basic engineering assignments;
  • Responsible for planning and conducting small-sized assigned projects requiring conventional types of plans, investigations and/or equipment;
  • Participate and/or assist other engineers in project tasks by applying standard engineering theories, concepts and techniques;
  • Apply standard engineering principles and methodologies to interpret problems, create/modify designs, draw conclusions and recommend options for solutions;
  • Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards;
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals;
  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations;
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining effectiveness of Quality System;
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Associate Engineer – Facilities Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science, Engineering or related discipline);
  • 5+ Years Facilities Project Management, preferably in a regulated environment;
  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal relations; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior;
  • Ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally;
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical-thinking skills;
  • Ability or aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software;
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills;
  • Ability or aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives;
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding or skills and willingness to learn.
