Adecco is currently hiring for an Associate Scientist for our Medical Manufacturing client in Ottawa West. This is an opportunity offering full time hours, Monday – Friday. The salary for this position will be determined based on education and experience.
The main purpose of this role is to support activities in the R&D test labs, programs, and deliverables.
Associate Scientist Responsibilities:
Conduct experimentation and measurement utilizing multiple techniques, investigate, identify, develop and optimize new methods, processes or techniques to meet project needs.
Assist in developing analytical systems through experimentation.
Assist in implementing new experimental protocols, studies or operational processes.
Support interpretation of data and results, conclusions, and noting of Scientific deviations.
Support the design and execution of relevant experiments, studies and tests.
Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Associate Scientist Requirements:
Undergraduate university Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related Scientific field preferred.
1+ years of relevant experience
Ability to organize experiments, process knowledge and data to invent new
methodologies.
Ability to work independently and in groups.
Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications.
Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display
socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical-thinking skills.
Knowledge of Good Lab Practices.
Intermediate knowledge of MS-Office
