Adecco is currently hiring an assurance Coordinator for our Client located in Ottawa, ON. They are looking for an administrative professional who posses’ strong knowledge regarding the assurance processes and procedures associated with the accounting teams and is able to produce financial statements using CaseWare/Caseview and/or CCH Practice Management software. The idea candidate is someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is comfortable being cross trained within the administrative team so that they can assist where they are needed. 
 
Our client in a chartered professional accounting firm that provides exceptional service for both individual and corporate clients who have needs for accounting, audit, tax, finance, management consulting or financial planning. They have been servicing the Ottawa area for over 15 years and are looking for the next candidate to join their dynamic, growing firm.
 
This role is a permanent Full-Time opportunity with the company, working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm with the occasional overtime that may be required to work during busy periods. The salary range being offered is between $38,500 to $40,000. 


Job Summary

•  The Assurance Coordinator provides administrative assistance to the accounting teams based upon partner team assignment and has advanced knowledge regarding the assurance processes and procedures associated with the accounting teams.  The Assurance Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks in support of the accounting teams from collation of packages, to billing and typing of documents and administration of the accounting software.  The Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring financial statement packages are properly formatted, printed, signed and proper copies are retained for our records, billings are prepared where required, all enclosure letters are providing proper instruction to clients and the package is complete prior to submitting for collation.  The Assurance Coordinator is also responsible for the preparation of month end billings and reconciliations per the procedures and duties assigned to them.

Assurance Coordinator Responsibilities and Duties

•    Prepares, review and finalizes accounting letters and memos
•    Formats, prints and collates year end accounting and assurance packages.
•    Prepares bills for year end packages, bookkeeping and month end including partner write offs, re-bills etc.
•    Prepares and reconciles the month end per the billing cycle.
•    Opens new clients, updates client information and adds projects per procedures.
•    Can trouble shoot accounting software and document links
•    Knowledge of procedures in taxation area so assistance can be provided when necessary.
•    Provide administrative support to colleagues and management
•    Photocopy and/ or scan, organize documents for distribution, mailing, collation, and filing
•    Assist with the compilation of data, perform data entry and maintain computer databases
•    Accurately organize, maintain, and coordinate records and files
•    Locate filed materials upon request, ensuring that materials are provided only to authorized users
•    Reception coverage as required.
•    Other duties as assigned

The Assurance Coordinator will have the following:
 
•    Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
•    Experience in a professional services industry is considered an asset
•    Advanced knowledge regarding the assurance processes and procedures associated with the accounting teams
•    Advanced knowledge of accounting and tax software such as CaseWare/Caseview and/or CCH Practice Management software
•    Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills with a team-orientation
•    Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills
