Autobody Technician
Position Overview:

As an Autobody Technician, you will play a crucial role in repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. Responsibilities:

Vehicle Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of damaged vehicles to identify the extent of repairs required, both internally and externally, using specialized tools and equipment.

Autobody Repair: Perform a wide range of autobody repairs, including dent removal, frame straightening, panel replacement, and welding, to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming, ensuring a smooth and even finish.

Painting: Apply paint using industry-standard techniques, including mixing and matching colors, spray painting, and blending, to achieve a flawless and consistent appearance.

Refinishing: Perform refinishing tasks such as clear coat applications, color sanding, buffing, and polishing to enhance the quality and shine of the finished product.

Parts Replacement: Remove and replace damaged parts, such as bumpers, fenders, doors, and glass, ensuring proper fitment and alignment.

Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs for quality and accuracy, addressing any imperfections or deficiencies before finalizing the job.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and work hours for billing and insurance purposes.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working with hazardous materials, tools, and equipment.

Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any concerns and providing accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines.
Requirements:

Experience and Education: Proven experience as an Autobody Technician, with a minimum of [X] years in the autobody repair industry. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional certifications in autobody repair or automotive technology are highly desirable.
