Adecco is currently recruiting a  Automation Engineer for one of our top clients to provide automation engineering services to develop and implement automation systems for small and medium scale capital projects.  

Automation Engineer Education Requirements:
 - Preferred:  - Degree in Electronic Systems or Electrical Engineering
                    - Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan
 - Alternative:  - Degrees in other Engineering disciplines will be considered but must have Automation experience

Automation Engineer Skills and Experience:
 -    Experience with the following software would be beneficial 
 -    MS Office, Project Server, Share Point
 -     Rockwell/Allen-Bradley
 -     RSLinx
 -    RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000
 -    Studio 5000
 -     FactoryTalk View
 -     Bristol ControlWave RTU

Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities:
 - Provide automation engineering services to facilities and pipelines engineering group to develop, and implement automation systems for small and medium scale capital projects. Medium scale typically encompasses one or more PLC and metering/controls facilities. Small scale typically encompasses one PLC (or RTU), and simple metering/controls facilities (typically only monitoring - no control).
 - Assist with the Station HMI upgrade to create a standard for Station HMIs at Compressor Stations.  Work to upgrade obsolete display infrastructure to modern and supportable format. Work as Project Lead to implement the new Station HMI Standard at 10 Compressor Stations
 - Provide technical support by applying engineering principles in the implementation of safe and reliable solutions for plant automation and controls.
 - Develop and maintain project schedules & budgets
 - Programming and configuration of RTU and PLC industrial controllers
 - Procure and prepare RTU and communications hardware
 - Develop field documentation associated with project
 - Develop HMI displays with input from users
 - Exercise lab testing on controls equipment prior to deployment 
 - Ensure project documentation is properly wrapped up post-commissioning
 - Ensure engineering as-built drawings are generated on assigned projects
 - Troubleshoot and resolve field HMI/PLC/RTU problems 
 - SCADA system database administration and commissioning related to automation projects

Hours of Work:  Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
