Duties and Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, performs a combination of advanced and basic mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance work
In charge of daily machine repairs/troubleshooting and proper corrective actions
Helps to establish a spare part inventory and makes recommendations on spare parts usage and stock level
Fills in work orders to document root cause of equipment breakdown and troubleshooting method
Fills in preventive and predictive reports
Troubleshoot process problems and initiative and/or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and quality improvements
Adheres to safety standards by promoting a safe work environment through attending safety committees, training, and verifying all safety concerns are addressed
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Minimum of 1-2 years automotive experience, OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II
College diploma as electro-mechanical technician / technologist or similar work experience
Have a demonstrated experience in previous electro-mechanical area
Able to read and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLC logic
Excellent communication skills dealing with internal departments, equipment suppliers and other 3rd party service providers
Experienced with MS Office and Maintenance software
Ability to work a flexible schedule if required
Able to read electric, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams
Ability to attain C.Tech or C.E.T. certification
Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO TS 16949
