Our client is looking to hire top talent for a Benefits Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some Benefits experience but who is looking to bring it to a unionized setting for a full-time, temporary assignment covering a maternity leave. There would be training involved but the right fit will be someone with a dynamic and outgoing personality, a calming and professional approach, exceptional communication and employee relations skills and a key eye for detail.

Some of the responsibilities for this Benefits Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON may include but not be limited to;

  • Administering new applications and claims in a quick and accurate manner
  • Responding to questions and concerns from employees regarding coverage, claims and more
  • Researching information to ensure accurate details are provided on either side
  • Liaising between employee and provider where required
  • Additional benefit administrator tasks as required including clerical duties.

  • 3 months+ of Benefit Administration experience (if even combined with Payroll or Human Resource responsibilities)
  • Group insurance experience a strong asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
