Our client, an benefits/insurance provider located in Toronto is looking to hire a Benefits Business Systems Analyst to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.  They are seeking an experienced Benefit Business Systems Analyst to join the team to bring value to the teams it works closely with.  This starts in a hybrid working arrangement and is located near a TTC station on the Yonge line.

Some of the job responsibilities for the Benefits Business Systems Analyst job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:

  • Full responsibility for the management of data across various systems and functions
  • Preparation Verification and management of related administrative requirements of the involved teams
  • Perform system validations and ensuring integrity across the many systems
  • Sporadic statistical analysis, research and reporting when required to support management
  • Shadow power users of the current system to understand and document existing business processes.
  • Review and analyze systems and business process improvements while developing specifications and oversee IT development, testing and getting related approvals
  • Develop training materials, a training plan, and conduct training for staff to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Create, maintain, update user documentation on all system processes
  • Oversee IT processes and work with the team to ensure continuously functional
  • On policy related changes that can impact billing and claims, ensure timely and seamless execution
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The qualifications for the Benefits Business Systems Analyst job opening in Toronto, ON include but are not limited to:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in Benefits and Business Systems Analysis – the combination of both areas are required
  • CEBS certification is an asset
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries; advanced Excel
  • Understanding of general IT project methodologies, processes and practices, including AS400 systems; ability to support/contribute to the development and migration to new platforms would be an asset
  • Knowledge of group insurance systems and processes; claims, policies, process etc
  • Highly analytical and problem solving skills; basic financial analysis skills in addition
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Deadline sensitive and ability to work in both a team and independently
