In this role you will be working in a queue, spreading financial statements to generate Borrower Risk Rating. Pay rate: $28/hour
Location: Toronto, ON, hybrid after training 2-3 days on site weekly
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Job type: Temporary, with extension possibility, Full-time

Responsibilities:
Support the Commercial and Agriculture portfolios in by determining a Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) for use in the adjudication of Commercial and/or Agriculture loans
Use combination of GAAP, notes to financial statements, and overarching guidelines to correctly identify and input values from financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flow) of privately held companies into the Risk Rating model
Generate a BRR (Borrower Risk Rating) calculation for each request based on inputs
Apply requested adjustments to financial statements and create a revised set of financial statements and BRR rating
Understand intercompany transactions and apply the elimination of same to combine financial statements from multiple companies
Support Manager, Risk Rating in other duties as assigned
Contribute to a positive and fun work environment
Requirements:
Minimum post-secondary education, Commerce or Business Administration degree is a requirement, specialization in accounting or finance is preferred
Work experience in accounting or finance industry with exposure to financial statements is an asset
Must be Bilingual in French (read only)
Able to read and understand financial statements (company prepared, notice to reader, review engagement, and audited)
Must have deep knowledge of accounting basics (flows between Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flow)
Working knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop software, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word is required
Keen attention to detail and problem solving ability are both crucial for success in this role
Able to work in a high-pressure environment while ensuring work is of high quality
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills ,and inter-personal skills are all a must
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
