Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote)

Adecco is currently looking for a Bilingual A/R Specialist in the area of Reconciliations. This role is remote and candidates can be located anywhere in Canada.

In this role, you will use your Excel and data gathering skills, pull reports and proactively identify account issues and generate solution strategies.  You have a good understanding of debits and credits, are detail oriented and love working with numbers. You use common sense and problem solving skills and have a passion to dig into the weeds, if necessary, to locate discrepancies and correct errors!

Functions of the A/R Specialist include:

  • Establishes and builds strong customer relationships to ensure the reduction of aging and the proactive prevention of bad debt write-offs.
  • Determines outstanding balances on accounts, arranges payment schedules and follows up with clients to ensure the proper reconciliation and reallocations are performed.
  • Interacts with the field branches, as well as the Sales and Operations teams, in order to obtain a complete understanding of assigned accounts and to assist with resolving Accounts Receivable problems.
  • Proactively identifies and recommends bad debt accounts to management.
  • Researches client payment applications and applies payments to the appropriate invoices in a timely manner.
  • Prepares detailed financial reports for management and clients on Accounts Receivable activity and areas of concern.
  • A/R Specialist Requirements:

  • Preferred accounts receivable / collections experience, including cash applications and large client reconciliations
  • Proficient in PC software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail applications
  • General knowledge of accounting principles 
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required
