Bilingual Business Development Manager

Adecco is currently hiring for a Bilingual in French and English Business Development Manager position in Toronto, ON to work remotely until the offices reopen. Our client is a multinational corporation that specializes in Internet-related services and products. As a Bilingual Bilingual Business Development Manager, you will serve as an ambassador to the news industry and support the regional lead’s efforts to grow the company’s relationships with news publishers and associations across the Canadian news ecosystem. Our client is looking for a highly collaborative individual with a proven track record of working with executives, driving operational processes, and working cross-functionally to lead change and drive impact. This is a 1-year contract position and has a pay rate of $ 62.00 /hour.

The Bilingual Business Development Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting efforts to build joint business plans with key associations, developing sponsorship/engagement plans, and prioritizing our engagements.
  • Working across many teams within the company that support the news ecosystem, aligning the company’s products, tools, training and programs to the priorities of the industry and ensuring specific needs of the Canadian market are being met.
  • Working closely with cross-functional internal teams like Sales, Product, Policy, Marketing, Partnerships, and Comms, to drive progress, build consensus and communicate the company’s perspective to external partners.
  • The Bilingual Business Development Manager Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working within the news industry, industry relations, partnerships, corporate communications, go-to-market strategy or sales
  • BA or BS degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English and French is a must
  • Desired- Experience in business development or partnerships
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational initiatives (e.g., OKRs, newsletters, etc)
  • Familiarity with and passion for partnering with industry associations; experience working with news publishers
  • Understanding of the business and public policy landscape of the market
  • Strong communication skills (presentations, briefing docs, etc), with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • A track record of working in complex, cross-functional environments
