Adecco is currently recruiting for a Bilingual Communications Advisor and Content Writer for a 6 -Month contract with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.

The Bilingual Communications Advisor and Content Writer will have the following responsibilities:
-    Design, develop, and execute communication plans for assigned projects and internal clients.
-    Looking for a Content Writer.  Someone with experience in writing a wide range of marketing and communications products including web content, social media content, e-newsletters, articles, publications, brochures, and other digital campaigns.  The ability to produce high-quality, high impact content that will be used across traditional and digital channels.
-    Track implementation of communication plans by other parties.
-    Provide communications advice and services to internal clients and management. 
-    Develop, write, update and/or edit original communications products such as, speeches, presentations, web content, brochures, newsletters, publications and articles.
-    Develop, write and edit media relations materials, such as news releases, backgrounders, media advisories, media response lines, and talking points, as required.
-    Recommend, produce, and evaluate effectiveness of communications products, such as publications, brochures, presentations, and web content.
-    Develop and prepare reports, briefing notes, analysis, and recommendations.
-    Research, review and remain current in communication trends.
-    Monitor financial transactions/commitments within an approved budget.
-    Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Program and may act as a member of a local Committee.
-    Apply policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislation.
-    Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Bilingual Communications Advisor and Content Writer must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business administration, Marketing, Commerce, Project Management, or related field, AND several years of experience in retail environment project management, or in a related field;
-    OR A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. This includes but is not limited to demonstrated education, training or experience
-    Bilingual in French and English
-    Understanding of basic media and public affairs practices, communication practices and procedures, basic web design principles, journalistic interview techniques, the print production process, and general business practices and theories.
-    Producing a wide range of communication products including publications, brochures, presentations, and web content
-    Media relations including writing, editing and issuing news releases, backgrounders, media advisories, media response lines, speeches/talking points, and articles 
-    In writing and updating web content
-    Preparing reports, updates, analysis and evaluation of communication strategies and tactics
-    Using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and internet browsing

Nice to Have:
-    Understanding of the Government of Canada Communications Policy and other federal policies, guidelines and standards for communications, an asset
