Bilingual Customer Service Positions

 

Overview:

Adecco Canada is actively recruiting for permanent full-time Bilingual Customer Service positions for an established company in Kingston, ON. To be considered for Bilingual Customer Service openings, candidates must be bilingual in French and English, have prior experience in a customer service capacity, and have the availability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. Rate of pay: Based on Experience

Location: Kingston, ON

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Shifts/Hours: Successful candidates will work on a rotational basis (some days and some afternoons) to equal 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week Monday through Friday. Candidates must be willing to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm to be considered.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and fax
  • Communicating with customers in an accurate, professional and timely manner
  • Foster customer retention by providing premium service
  • Maintain customer files by updating personal information changes including address changes, name changes, and other personal information updates as reported
  • Take ownership of customer inquiries from start to finish to ensure resolution is made
  • Handle customer complaints by solving problems accurately and efficiently and by escalating issues to management as needed
  • Research information for customers as needed by finding information through various online platforms, reading and interpreting information, and relaying information to customers
  • Perform administrative duties as required including filing, updating records, copying and faxing documents, and maintaining a clean, organized, and functional office space

                                     

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar customer service position with preference given to those with experience in a financial or insurance setting
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an absolute requirement to include reading, writing, and speaking proficiently in both languages
  • Experience handling high-volume customer contact via phone, email, and fax
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to find electronic information efficiently
  • Must handle customer communication (verbally and electronically) with absolute professionalism
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is considered a strong asset
  • Completion of Secondary School Diploma or Equivalency is required with preference given to candidates with some post-secondary or completion of post-secondary education
  • Preference will be given to those working towards insurance-related certificates or designations
  • Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm
  • Must be able to prioritize based on urgency
  • Must have excellent follow-up skills
  • Must be comfortable handling customer inquiries from multiple sources and finding information on multiple platforms
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check if selected
