Adecco is currently hiring for a Disability Calculation Analyst in Halifax, NS. To be considered for this Disability Calculation Analyst role, you must have strong accounting,/benefits experience and be bilingual in French and English. Our client is a Canadian multinational insurance company and financial services provider. This is a 1-year contract position and has a pay rate of $21.87 / hour.
Disability Calculation Analyst Responsibilities:
• Responsible for timely and accurate approval of all new claims in an effective manner 
• Accountable for determining and calculating offsets (Earnings, CPP, Pension, and Other applicable plan offsets) 
• Determining, calculating and recovering overpayments on Long Term Disability (LTD) claims
• Complete all the required system work on our claims system associated with offsets and overpayments
• Calculate LTD benefit overpayments, negotiate repayment schedules directly with Members and ensure overpayments are being recovered in an acceptable amount and time period
• Perform Navigator system work by accurately coding the correct offset, the offset type, payment reversals, payment refunds, stop payments, setting the overpayment schedule and setting follow-up tasks
Disability Calculation Analyst Qualifications: 
• Bilingual in French and English is required
• Previous experience in accounting, finance, payroll, and/or benefits 
• Administrative experience is considered an asset
• Medical terminology knowledge or insurance terminology is an asset
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
• Proficiency with MS Excel is required
• Ability to analyze and solve complex calculations
• Ability to interpret policy/insurance language
• Excellent customer service skills 
• Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task and work under time pressures
• Solution-oriented and demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Responds to challenges and opportunities in a positive and productive manner
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills
