We have a Bilingual Human Resources and Health & Safety Generalist job available in Ottawa, ON. This is a remote work opportunity and the role may be located in Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto. Working in Adecco’s internal corporate HR and Health & Safety departments, the Bilingual Human Resources and Health & Safety Generalist will provide direct support to Adecco’s Colleagues and Managers in the areas of accident investigation, CNESST claims management, employee relations, recruitment and training, in French and English.
The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in both official languages, along with the flexibility to thrive in a fast paced, multitasking environment. In-depth knowledge of Quebec labour and employment laws and health & safety regulations along with strong problem-solving ability is critical in this role. Experience working with CNESST is mandatory. A typical work week will consist of work from home options and in-office attendance as required.

The Bilingual Human Resources and Health & Safety Generalist job duties and responsibilities include:
Provides educated advice and solutions to Adecco’s Colleague inquiries on temporary Associate and business issues that relate to Human Resources and Health & Safety. Provides guidance and support to managers, ensuring preferred coaching methods are followed and legal exposure is minimized.
Responds to employment and safety related complaints as necessary, ensuring Adecco’s financial obligations are minimized and any wrongdoing corrected.
Manages the CNESST financial file (declaration of annual wages, management of retrospective system and determination of limits), completes requests for revisions, medical expertise, BEM and contact with the PLC.
Evaluates requests for approval on high-risk positions, makes recommendations and takes part in investigations and accident analysis.
Manages the Quebec training declaration and pay equity reporting requirements.
Directly recruits for and facilitates all aspects of the recruitment process for colleague positions including sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, testing and reference checking.
Utilizes available tools and resources to create, coordinate and deliver relevant training and communication that allow our field staff to effectively perform their roles.
Develops, implements and administers programs and policies as they relate to effective employee relations within Adecco, including analyzing data to identify trends and provide suggestions and solutions that impact employee satisfaction and retention.
Bilingual Human Resources and Health & Safety Generalist Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
A minimum of 3 years related workers compensation and Human Resources Generalist experience.
In depth knowledge of Provincial employment and health & safety laws and regulations.
Strong technical aptitude with applicant tracking systems, HRIS and PC software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail applications.
Superior fluency in both French and English is required (written and spoken)
