Bilingual Long-Term Disability Case Manager

Adecco is currently hiring for a Bilingual Long-Term Disability Case Manager in Montreal, QC. To be considered for this Bilingual Long-Term Disability Case Manager role you must have a previous case management experience within an insurance or finance organization. Familiarity with medical terminology is a must, along with the ability to manage stressful situations.

Our client is a leading insurance company and within this role, you will be responsible for the assessment of long-term disability claims, the development of specific case management plans and make key decisions. Communication skills are also a vital part of this position as you will be required to deliver difficult messages and maintain collaborative relationships with administrators, medical professionals, and other key partners. This is a 1 year contract position and has a pay rate of $30.46 per hour. This will be a work from home position until the office reopens in Montreal,QC.

The Bilingual Long-Term Disability Case Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluation of long term disability claims including the identification, and analysis of medical, contractual, and eligibility information
  • Development and execution of case management plans
  • Maintain consistent interaction with claimants and clients
  • Technical direction toward the case management plans, ensuring accuracy of benefit calculations and payments
  • Making decisions on Waiver of Premium claims
  • Conduct and document detailed functional interviews
  • Collaborate closely with functional and vocational rehabilitation specialists
  • Assessment and identification of functional limitations that impact return-to-work
  • The Bilingual Long-Term Disability Case Manager Qualifications Include:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a must
  • Fluently Bilingual English and French
  • Previous case management experience within an insurance/financial organization preferred
  • Ability to be able to identify medical and non-medical barriers
  • Intermediate PC skills - including data entry, MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Work effectively in a dynamic, team environment
  • Effective relationship management with external and internal clients
  • Ability to read and interpret policy wording
  • Proficient in letter writing
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal (Bilingual is a bonus)
