Bilingual Operations Administrator

Adecco is currently hiring a Bilingual (French/English) Operations Administrator in Halifax, NS. To be considered for this Bilingual (French/English) Operations Administrator role you must have previous administration or customer service experience. Our client is a leading insurance company and within this role, you will be responsible for providing administration support, which will include processing requests on new and existing life insurance policies, while providing the highest level of quality and service to both clients and the policy holder representatives. This is a 1 year contract position and has a pay rate of $28.10 per hour. This will be a work from home opportunity to start until the office location is reopened.

The Bilingual (French/English) Operations Administrator Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide telephone and email support to incoming inquiries on insurance plans from both members and policyholder representatives, in a timely and efficient manner
  • Process applications for coverage by obtaining appropriate data from policyholder and insurance representatives, as required and setting up the insurance
  • Calculate monthly/annual premium amounts as well as adjustments, recovery of retroactive premium amounts and issuing refund cheques for any overpaid premium amounts (Verifying accuracy of all requests received)
  • Process all follow-ups and initial requests for change in accordance with both insurance law and provincial legislation
  • The Bilingual (French/English) Operations Administrator Qualifications Include:

  • Previous experience within Administration or Customer Service
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology/concepts would be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & MS Teams. Technically sound and comfortable navigating through multiple screens and applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with various levels of stakeholders including internal clients, plan members, the policyholder and support personnel
  • Ability to look at processes objectively, offering input and suggestions for process improvement and efficiencies where necessary
  • Strong analytical skills with a close attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a team - You know how to build successful relationships with your coworker. Assisting others without being asked as a partnership looking out for the collective best interests of our team and our customers
