Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Bilingual Purchasing Clerk in Pointe-Claire, QC. This is an exciting opportunity once training is complete to work hybrid (2 days in office 3 days from home). Possibility of permanence with medium/long-term social benefits!

The purchasing clerk places and authorizes orders, respecting established limits and procedures. Expedites order processing, tracks deliveries, resolves delivery errors, and maintains accurate records within established guidelines.
 

  • Pay rate: between $48,000 and $52,000 / annually (depending on experience)
  • Location: Pointe-Claire, QC
  • Shifts: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates the prices and services offered by the various suppliers in order to choose the best ones.
  • May negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
  • Tracks orders and delivery with suppliers and communicates order information to relevant customers.
  • Maintains accurate purchasing, pricing, and costing data of applicable business systems.
  • Enters orders in accordance with purchasing procedures and customer contract regulations.
  • Reviews daily error notices on placed orders and takes appropriate action.
  • Coordinates product replacement and removals.
  • Examines all types of problems.
  • Complies with standard policies, procedures, internal checks and controls and quality control processes. Understands and adheres to ISO standards and adheres to company procedures regarding document control, purchasing, process control, corrective and preventive action, and quality record verification.
  • Requirements:

  • Knowledge of procurement and inventory concepts, practices and procedures within MRO procurement
  • Knowledge of the MRO industry, including suppliers, customers and competitors
  • ORGANIZED, CAREFUL, ATTACHMENT TO DETAILS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Good computer skills, including purchasing and inventory systems, programs and reports
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Resourceful and able to take initiative
  • Organize and coordinate his various tasks.
  • Must be able to adequately manage the pressure

  • Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Experience in the field of purchasing 1 to 2 years (or studies in the field an asset)
    EXPERIENCE:
    - Purchasing in the supply chain – Experience 1 to 2 years
    - Style of purchasing: MRO
