Billing Analyst

New

Adecco is currently looking for a permanent full-time Billing Analyst for a global 4PL supply chain provider located in Mississauga, ON. The role is responsible for analyzing and processing Account Receivable/Account Payable of all logistics related invoices and documents. The Billing Analyst will work with logistics service providers and customers to coordinate and ensure proper AR/AP process.

The analyst will be required to analyze and process every logistics related invoices as well as develop and implement any necessary operational process and also handle daily/weekly/monthly reports and creating/running business simulation with assigned database.

Salary Range: $43-57k annually

Responsibilities:

  • Process billing accurately according to the company policy for various divisions.
  • Manage and analyze status of account receivable & account payable.
  • Lead discuss for essential freight documents, which support AR & AP invoices.
  • Audit freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts.
  • Oversee the internal technologies to monitor daily invoicing status.
  • Understand and use the internal technologies required for daily functions.
  • Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicated invoices.
  • SOP creation, training, leadership and process implementation.
  • Liaise directly with customers and logistics service providers to provide notification of invoicing issue and ensure process follow-through to prevent issue aging.
  • Maintain effective relationships with vendors, carriers, other branches, and HQ
  • Performs ad-hoc reporting, as required.
  • Performs other tasks as required when your supervisor request.
  • Flexible to work overtime when needed.
  • Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education in a Finance or Accounting field.
  • +1 years of Accounting, Invoicing or Transportation/Logistics related experience.
  • Knowledge of how billing functions affect P&L.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), SAP.
  • Professional experience including spreadsheet and simulation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • The ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.
  • Experience creating and generating reports.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A self-starter attitude with an ability to work well in a fast paced environment
