Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Business Development Manager - Distribution job in Edmonton, AB. The Business Development Manager - Distribution will be responsible for securing new business opportunities while maintaining a pre-existing book of business in the Edmonton and surrounding area market. Our client is a well established industrial distributor of motors, fans and pumps selling to the heating and air conditioning (HVAC) market. They are offering a base salary plus commission, car allowance, expenses, benefits and room for career advancement.

Business Development Manager - Distribution Responsibilities:

Visit existing customers to maintain and build on existing relationships
Educate customers on product lines and service offerings
Identify sales opportunities with existing customers by demonstrating the unique advantages of products and services
Provide updated weekly sales report to branch order desk staff and management
Identify and proactively pursue opportunities for business with new customers


The ideal candidate will possess related post secondary education coupled with 2+ years of experience working in a sales role
You will possess some product knowledge in HVAC, heating, motors, fans, etc.
You will possess strong presentation skills with the ability to work independently managing time effectively
Self motivated, career minded and sales focused
Strong computer and reporting skills are required
Ability to travel out of town up to 20% with the majority of your time spent targeting Edmonton and surrounding area
