Detailed Job Description: As the Business Development Purchasing Manager, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive market scans to identify potential investment and cooperation targets for battery raw materials.

  • Develop strategic roadmaps to deliver financial, operational, and sustainability benefits.

  • Analyze data, perform market assessments, and create financial models to support decision-making.

  • Collaborate across functions to ensure alignment of activities and objectives.

  • Onboard new local suppliers and support negotiation processes.

  • Evaluate technical and commercial aspects of proposals, projects, and suppliers.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the battery raw materials industry.

Candidate's Profile: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • A Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Business Development, Strategy, or related area, or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Master's Degree with emphasis on mining, metallurgy, or chemistry (considered an asset).

  • 7+ years of professional experience in purchasing and business development.

  • Knowledge of raw materials sector and battery production processes.

  • Experience in strategic procurement and competitive tender management.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships.

  • Demonstrated business partnering, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a process-driven, fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility for international travel to potential suppliers (approx. 20-30%).
