Adecco is currently hiring a permanent, full-time Business Development Representative in Markham, ON to work for our client, in a start up division for Service Robots within an established company. In this role, you will support all sales activities, assist with development of service robotics in the GTA and manage the company's lead generation activities. If you have previous sales experience selling technology in or across Canada and live in or near the Markham area, this job is for you, apply today!


  • Promote and build the Service Robotics to various organizations, as directed to achieve and exceed Sales Volumes, Objectives and KPI Goals.
  • Manage, train, and set defined objectives for Service Robotics.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships key targeted customers to ensure effective participation in programs and product penetration goals.
  • Advise BDD of market activities relating to volume activity or potential to ensure effective communication, proper inventory levels and follow-up at the Head Office level.
  • Participate in strategic sessions that support competitive long-term plans.
  • Collaborate frequently with and assist other team members as needed to ensure market penetration.
  • Represent the Company at national and regional trade shows, group and customer conferences and sales meetings where required. 
  • Report competitive activities, related to new products, pricing, catalogues, special programs, and other market activities, and to obtain competitive product samples where directed. 
  • Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in business or related for broad business acumen.
  • Educational background and/or a passion for technology, software, computer science and futurology .
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in sales
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically excel for sales data reporting and PowerPoint for customer presentations.
  • Capable of managing virtual on-line meetings effectively and creatively optimizing technology where it makes sense
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) or similar for sales leads management and to generate Autoquotes.
  • Excellent project and time management skills, as well as communication, organizational and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or concerns from customers, employees, or business associates. 
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated positive team player with ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
