Are you a talented Carpenter? Adecco is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Carpenter (Red Seal) to work at our reputable client in Gold River, BC. In this role, you will be accountable for the planning and directing of activities related to housing initiatives, commercial construction, municipal operations, and preventative and corrective maintenance, in addition to major and minor capital improvements within the reserve.

  • Location: Gold River, BC
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent
  • Relocation package is provided, if not presently a resident of Gold River, BC.
  • First three months of accommodation are provided
  • Subsidized Housing is offered after three months

    • Duties and Responsibilities:        

  • Provide direction to the carpentry tradesmen on site in addition to overseeing and providing guidance to apprentice Carpenters
  • Ensure all building codes and safety standards are met
  • Bid and tender contracts for Technical Services in carpentry-related areas when required
  • Oversee project budgets and schedules and perform follow-up with vendors (supplies, materials and inspectors)

    • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Certified Journeyman in Carpentry (Red Seal Endorsed) is required
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a supervisory position is a must
  • Experience in job costing and forecasting projects is needed
  • Experience working in MS Office is required
  • Familiar with all facets of residential house building and renovations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Should have strong time management skills partnered with demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, meet set deadlines and possess problem-solving abilities
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
