Adecco is working with a home rennovation supplier in London to find a Carpenter's Assistant. This opportunity is a great chance to grow your already existing skill set and learn more while in a friendly and supportive environment!

* This is a long-term position with a review after 6 months to be hired on permanently.

* Pay rate is $17-$20/ per hour and is based on experience.

* Schedule is DAYS – Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 4pm

The opportunity: Shop Assistant; will be responsible for assisting with the production of PVC/Vinyl Columns and Garage Door Frames.

The successful candidate:

- Must have Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a carpentry shop or related field

- Quick learner and good listening skills

- Strong communication skills

- Receptive and responsive to constructive criticism

  • Knowledgeable and capable of running the following types of tools: band saw, skills saw, table saw, mitre saw, shaper, etc.

    • - Knowledge and understanding of trade terminology; and reading measurements as small as 1/16”

    - Attention to detail and accuracy

    - Works well with others
