Case Manager Coordinator

Adecco is currently hiring for a Case Manager Coordinator in Halifax, NS. To be considered for this Case Manager Coordinator role you must have 2-3 years of healthcare experience background. Familiarity with medical terminology is a must, along with the ability to manage stressful situations.

Our client is a leading insurance company and within this role, you will be responsible for the prioritization of all incoming disability cases to determine their complexity and will manage all non-complex cases to resolution. You will also have accountability for delivering superior client services and effective communication to employees and employers throughout the life of the case. This is a 1 year full time contract position that has possibility of extension, and a pay rate of $21.74 per hour. This will be a work from home position until offices reopen in Halifax, NS.

The Case Manager Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

  • All disability cases determined to be non-complex, will be managed to resolution by the case coordinator, who must continually evaluate whether the active cases remain non-complex or whether to transition the case to a Case Manager
  • Focus will be on minimizing administrative delays and on reducing the duration of employee work absences
  • Complete specified administrative tasks on all cases, which include faxing, forms preparation and employee follow-ups
  • Effectively communicate with employees and employers to determine all factors that may influence case complexity, including diagnosis, duration of disability and the presence of non-medical barriers
  • Ensuring that all service delivery targets are met
  • The Case Manager Coordinator Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field is required such as Kinesiology, Nursing, Psychology, Physiotherapy, rehabilitation or occupational health, or other regulated health care discipline
  • Good understanding of and experience with medical terminology and conditions
  • 2 years minimum of Healthcare background
  • Strong decision making and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Intermediate PC skills including MS Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
  • Completion of some related insurance industry courses would be an asset, along with previous Group Disability Claims experience
