  • Pay rate: $68,000 - $80,000 / year, depending on experience

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

Benefits:

Duties and Responsibilities:        

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and support as needed, manage staff based on business volume, oversee staff scheduling

  • Collaborate with management to develop menus and presentation

  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary

  • Oversee food and labour costs, adhering to budgets and ensuring invoice entry

  • Maintain cost-effective kitchen operations while delivering quality dishes

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly

  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Culinary school accreditation or Red Seal Certificate

  • Up to five years’ of demonstrated experience managing a restaurant and employees

  • Food Safe Certification, and strong understanding of food safety practices

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management and culinary trends

  • Excellent leadership skills, and ability to motivate and inspire a team of servers

  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality service

  • Demonstrate accountability by exercising sound judgment and holding oneself and others responsible

  • Vehicle and clear criminal check

  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
