Streetview is a research project created for the purpose of imaging public streets and areas.  The vehicle(s) are equipped with commercial grade digital still and video cameras and an array of eye-safe lasers.  These sensors rapidly image the area surrounding the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle.  The imagery product the vehicle produces is equivalent to a series of high-resolution pictures.  The vehicle is built to comply with road-safe laws and does not pose any special risk to others on the road.


Associates are asked to thoroughly map given areas, including all public streets, highways, and off and on ramps.  At times this will require specific areas to be driven multiple times due to poor weather and/or lighting conditions.  Once a data disk/drive is full, the employees(s) will have to FedEx the data to the company.  A Fleet Card (Mastercard) will be provided for gas and regular maintenance charges only. 


  • Must enjoy driving alone, with flexibility in schedule
  • Driver will work M-F; 8 hours a day/ 40 per week; ABSOLUTELY NO OT.
  • Pay rate: $16/hr
  • Must live in mapping area and possesses knowledge of local roads and traffic trends-VERY IMPORTANT.

  • Drivers are responsible for ensuring car is operational daily.
  • Will be responsible for parking & securing Google-assigned car at the end of each day.
  • Observe local laws and project protocols concerning COVID safety.
  • Will be required to reach camera lenses to clean and cover overnight.
  • Will be responsible for coordinating routine car maintenance– i.e. oil change, tire rotation, etc.
  • Will be responsible for mobile scanning and sending of data disks by FedEx.
  • Technical knowledge
  • Ability to use mobile device and navigate various types of documents.
  • Ability to enter information and attach photos into various forms including but not limited to time entry, vehicle cleaning logs, disk shipping, and expense receipts.
  • Able to clear a Criminal Background Check.
  • Ability to clear a DMV check (associate to provide).
  • Skills:

  • General car knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Android smartphones.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Self-motivated and detailed oriented.
  • G Suite knowledge (Docs, Forms & Gmail).
  • Other:

  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • This position relies on good weather and may not offer full time hours every week
  • Pay rate: $16/hr
