Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, CNC Operator, to work at a well-established manufacturer in Sidney BC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment and holds a High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Pay rate: $30.99/hour

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Operate a variety of CNC lathes, milling machines and multi-tasking machining centers
  • Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, written procedures, and verbal instructions
  • Ensure parts are produced to specifications, verify work piece dimensions are correct and made within tolerances
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and power tools
  • Actively participate in, and contribute to, continuous improvement and safety initiatives in the workplace
  •  Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or international equivalent plus post-secondary training in technical automation or CNC machine tool operation is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment is a must
  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls is considered an asset
  • Ability to lift parts weighing 30 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and be available for shift work as needed
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
