Tasks and responsibilities:
Leading engineering contractors and vendors to develop and deliver commissioning and de-commissioning plans for all subsea temporary and permanent production systems
Executing offshore commissioning and de-commissioning plans
Developing startup plans and provide engineering support to operations during startup
Supporting the Preservation Engineer in ensuring all equipment is adequately stored and preserved for future use
Coordinating the capture and sharing of best practices and lessons learned within the business unit and across company
Ensuring that processes are in place for the safe and cost-effective startups for multiple projects at any given time. The projects range in size from small repairs to new field developments requiring sealift modules
Managing the implementation and ownership of processes for all assigned projects and assisting operations in commissioning and startups as required
Conducting advanced safety audits and other safety observations to help achieve a zero-incident culture
Encouraging contractors and operations personnel to review the design package early during projects to eliminate rework
Skills and qualifications:
Previous experience in a closely related position
Bachelor’s degree in the Engineering discipline
Demonstrated track record for health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) leadership and delivery
Knowledge of commissioning turnover systems
Broad and extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
