Compliance Analyst

Adecco is currently hiring for a Compliance Analyst in Waterloo, ON. To be considered for this Compliance Analyst role you must have 2 years of Anti-Money Laundering or Anti-Terrorist Financing experience, along with a good understanding of the regulations and risk management involved with both.

Our client is a leading insurance company and within this role, you will be responsible for effective monitoring, investigation, and case management of transaction activity within the context of (AML/ATF). This is a 5 month contract position and has a pay rate of $25.20 per hour. This will be mainly a work from home position until the offices re-open in Waterloo for group/team meetings.

The Compliance Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Investigate and assess the risk of alerts identified by our client’s customer risk assessment tools
  • Maintain proper records and audit trail of investigation activity and disposition actions for all alerts
  • Use judgment and knowledge of money laundering patterns to assess whether transactions are suspicious
  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations as to the appropriate course of action
  • The Compliance Analyst Qualifications Include:

  • 2+ years of AML/ATF experience
  • Good understanding of AML/ATF regulation and risk management
  • Practical experience completing reports in FINTRAC's F2R Reporting Tool
  • Ability to adapt to technology
  • Good ability to communicate complex information with the ability to clearly explain verbally and in writing issues and circumstances to all levels of staff and management
  • Strong time management, organizational, research, investigative and analytical skills
