Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Construction Superintendent to work a long-term contract at one of Canada's largest petroleum refiners in Edmonton, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the day-to-day field operations for the assigned crafts and subcontractors.

Shifts: 14 days on, 7 days off

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation and review for submittals, RFIs and RFCs and make recommendations regarding suitability
Review contractor health and safety plans, traffic control and erosion control measures on projects
Verify quantities for payment
Identify non-conformance issues with construction work and help develop potential resolution of non-conformance issues
May serve as the lead Company representative at sub-sites where the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead typically does not reside
Provide construction core competency expertise when assigned to the function
Ensure good communications and relations with the contractors
Understand and execute assigned construction tasks within the project scope
Understand and interpret plans and specifications
Successfully execute projects within contracted schedule and budget
Work with multi-discipline engineering teams monitoring and controlling scope, schedule, and budget
Manage field crews and operation and maintenance of earthwork equipment
Respond to field and client information requests
Champion Worker Safety Programs
Oversee site contractor fabrication, construction, and hookup work activities during Execution Phase
Serve as member of the Project Team (PT) when project assigned
Provide the interface between the work face and the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead
Requirements and Qualifications:
20+ years of experience in-field Construction planning, execution, and completions is required
Past Construction Superintendent experience on major capital project is a must
Familiar with Construction Materials Testing procedures and ASTM standards
Willing to travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites
Enthusiastic, self-starter with desire to provide excellent service to clients
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
