Contract Coordinator l $110K - $120K+Bonus l Vancouver, BC


Adecco is partnered up with a leading mining client to seek for a Contract Coordinator to join the team in Vancouver/Tumbler Ridge, BC. The incumbent will be responsible for effectively developing and leading the Company’s focus of Contract Stewardship. This involves the timely execution of contracts, establishment of controls as well as monitoring Contractor performance. This position forms a critical link between Site Customers, Supply Chain and the company’s Contractor base. The position will focus on strong tendering management and the formulation of Contracts in accordance with legal and Corporate Governance.

Responsibilities:

Ensure site procurement is effectively covered through contract implementation
Support Contract holders through all phases of commercial stewardship and contract management post award process
Support Contract holders in enforcing and managing all Safety Programs and edicts of the Company
Ensure Contractor performance is tracked across all contracts, contractor meetings are held for relevant contracts and status reports and key actions or corrections are communicated regularly to all stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all legal statutes, company policies and Code of Business Conduct
Support Contract holders in matters of billing reconciliations, focusing on time verifications, equipment logs, and rates charged
Assist the Finance Team with the timely authorization of Contractor invoices to ensure Contract obligations are met
Ensure appropriate document management processes are in place to provide effective audit trails pertaining to all transactions and commitments
Identify opportunities for improvement through start to finish contract management focusing on the efficiency of services provided and the actual outcomes
Responsive to training and development in all aspects of the role, particularly updating system knowledge, technical developments and statutory obligations
Safely and efficiently perform electrician duties in an assigned area on an assigned shift
Ensure the reliability of the overall electrical systems in both the process plant and open pit mine


Requirements:

Proven experience in the field (minimum of 5 years) Purchasing, Contractor Management, Contract Implementation
A detailed knowledge of tender processes, Contractor Management
A strong understanding of supply chain integration relating to other business functions to deliver optimum operating and cost performance
Knowledge of business systems and ancillary programs with the ability to extract data relevant to the role and commercial development
A track record for continuous improvement
Purchasing accreditation, PMAC or equivalent.



This position would be based out of the Vancouver Office with 1 week per month (or as required) working with the front-line stakeholders in the Tumbler Ridge office.
