Adecco is currently recruiting for a temporary, Full-time Contracts Coordinator, to work at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands, in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will provide support to site SCM leaders and SCM Business Partners in managing  integration with the business stakeholders and support planning, scheduling, and coordinating requirements for the delivery of goods and services.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide trusted partner engagement by maintaining in depth knowledge and
    understanding of the SCM road map to deliver on various objectives and goals of the
    Business Units
  • Meet the demands of multiple clients, including external partners, with the
    appropriate sense of urgency, while educating internal partners on SCM procedures and
    ensuring adherence to these procedures
  • Participate in cross functional teams to identify and address current and future
    demands to support SCM planning
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate assigned business area service and material
    requirements; and work with the central procurement team to deliver required
    contracts/purchase orders to suppliers
  • Regular review of short/long term material/service demand and collaboration with
    cross functional stakeholders to provide timely confirmation of materials and services
    availability for supporting weekly schedule lockdown
  • Align with Centre of Excellence (COE) contracting and procurement strategies, and
    interface with material inventory management to enable optimal inventory management
  • Align procurement activities with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan,
    address any issues and raise those which are unresolved
  • Support/develop and drive action plans to improve procurement compliance and
    efficiency
  • Support/implement/maintain SCM service level agreements and manage KPI targets
  • Identify opportunities/gaps through data/KPI analysis and initiate/implement
    continuous improvement activities to improve process compliance
  • Assist the business in creation and sustainment of master data including Material
    masters, spare strategies, BOMs and task lists
  • Support stewardship delivery to BU stakeholders through LT/ACFT/CFT platforms
  • Support Enablon incident management & Element 10 compliance
  • Support / manage key issues and critical escalations
  •  Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • University degree, preferably in supply chain or business administration
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in the Supply Chain field, with prior experience
    working in Procurement and Contracting
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of computerized material management
    systems within procurement modules
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal
    and external partners
  • Able to anticipate potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary
    conditions, as well as having a strong sense of accountability
  • Should have a continuous improvement mindset and is able to seek greater knowledge and
    understanding of the systems, process and hazards
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
