Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Corporate Senior Accountant job in Edmonton, AB.  The Corporate Senior Accountant will play a key role in the reporting and analysis of financial statements and the measurement of metrics while providing support in a number of accounting functions.

Corporate Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end financial statements, analysis and presentations for use by senior leadership
  • Prepare and/or review account reconciliations for monthly, quarterly and year end reporting
  • Maintain and manage capital asset management system including depreciation calculations, insurance valuations, and annual asset inventory count
  • Work closely with leadership and the Finance team to review existing financial information and the development of new financial reports, improve existing work process and successfully implement process changes
  • Support upcoming transition to a new ERP system
  • Perform analysis and reports for the management team
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly draw/income distributions
  • Provide support and coaching to junior accounting staff
  • Provide coverage for other roles within the Finance Team
  • Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a CPA designation coupled with a minimum of 3-5 years of direct related experience ideally in a similar industry.
  • Significant knowledge of software applications including ERP, document storage, data visualization (preferably Tableau) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including an ability to communicate financial terms and process to a varied audience
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
  • Solid understanding around the importance of data management
