Adecco is currently looking for a Customs Export Coordinator in Markham, ON.  To qualify for this Customs Export Coordinator role, you must have a minimum 2 yrs experience in customs & foreign trade, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and thrive in a quick paced environment. This is a great temporary to permanent opportunity with a pay rate of $19/hr + 4% vacation pay.

Customs Export Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Ensure custom import and export services are provided and executed correctly
  • Verify these services are compliant with applicable legislation as well as specific client internal organization
  • Walk customer through the Distribution Shipment Request Form Export Compliance Checklist
  • Work with originator to obtain missing information
  • Create export invoices via data entry into export system
  • Complete B-13, Wood Declarations, and obtain TSCA (if needed)
  • Audit the export invoice documentation
  • Compile documentation package for each shipment
  • Provide pre-alerts to various vendor contacts (as required)
  • Create accurate/complete export packages for all clients
  • Providing support to any requestors on how to complete the forms required to be submitted
  • Work with Logistics Service Providers and client business partners to solve customs and foreign trade issues in a timely fashion
  • Use the management system in case of escalations to resolve customs issues within agreed SLAs
  • Manage the key performance indicators and measures
  • Ensure all the issues identified have action plans and are tracked till closure
  • Review performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Provide information/analyses/action plans to Management

Customs Export Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience in a fast paced, logistics environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, to be proactive and communicate with the client
  • Team player, collaborative
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office applications
  • Min. 2 years experience in Customs & Foreign Trade
